SLAVES OF BABYLON
Slaves of Babylon. Trouble inna Babylon. Babylon’s Burning.
Standing on street corners staring down Babylon. Feeling that the best the white world has offered was not enough ecstacy, not enough life, joy, kicks, darkness, music, not enough night, not enough t.v.
I am a t.v. savage, a t.v. dandy, a t.v. pimp. The t.v. watcher as noble savage. The explosive equation of youth and television. Fr them, for us, there is only the thrill f illicit and delinquent channel changing.
Confederate t.v.: rendezvous, connections, flashbacks that lie, chain reactions, synthesis of information, fission, fusion, mutation.
I saw the teaming hordes of America, I saw two strangers on a train, I saw a bloody foreign intrigue, I saw men going where no man had gone before, I saw Cop Shop, I saw spies, lovers, suicides and scrabble games.
Outside the t.v.’s psionic field all is dumb like beasts.
