The following images are from a solo exhibition at A GENTIL CARIOCA, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The work continues research initiated with the Dust Archive and associated work. For this solo exhibition at A GENTIL CARIOCA the artist had an environmental scientist come to the gallery and perform a diagnostic test on the air quality of the gallery (this culminated in the exhibition of a single photograph of the test being carried out and an eight page report). Alongside this work three air purifying machines where installed — humming for the duration of the exhibition. These particular purifiers are commonly used in archives, libraries, hospitals and laboratories.
